Two images by our master printer Mark Hunter featured in a personal photographic project relating to a HIV test, which he turned into a digital printed book.
“It started as a distraction- to pass the time while waiting for the results, but soon became much more.” Mark says: “Photographing objects and scenery; the mundane and the beautiful that surrounds you every day just being ignored or taken for granted is a real eye-opener. Confronting the prospect of living with HIV is an emotional journey. Thousands of people go through it every day yet it still carries a social stigma- I just wanted to capture the dullness of normal life continuing alongside this heightened sense of reality and try to show friends, family and strangers how that felt…”
